By Daniel Etcheberry: Theme parks can be a challenge for someone who is very disabled (like me) from a physical perspective, but also it can be challenging from an emotional perspective as well. Let me explain; I always have equated theme parks (especially Disney) with family. I went to Magic Kingdom when I was 9 years old with my parents and my sister. For me that represented the theme park experience;...

By Jeff Elliott : Every press release for the "Disneyland of (fillintheblank)" Is it just me or do you cringe every time you hear someone who should know better say that their park is going to be Disney-like or, even worse, the Disneyland of blah, like the Disneyland of Russia (the Sochi amusement park) or the Disneyland of Spain (Paramount Park)? Why does anyone think that a comparison with Disneyland...

By Robert Niles: Walt Disney World will dedicated the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom this Friday. It's still not clear yet if Disney will allow invited reporters and fans to ride the coaster at the media event, or if the ride will open to the public after the dedication. Photo courtesy Disney But we are getting some on-ride POV from the commercial shoot at the park earlier this month. This video includes the outdoor portion of the ride, though not the indoor segment with the new animatronics . Update: Now Disney's released another video, which includes the next indoor scene in the ride. There's still a cut in the video, so it's not a true full ride-through. And it's sped up, with a music track overlaid on the audio. But here it is: This article originally appeared at http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/201404/3997/ . All rights reserved.
